The US Army has ordered the execution of Major Nidal M. Hasan, who was sentenced to death in the case of United States v. Major Hasan, Nidal M, Acting Secretary of the Army Adam R. Telle said on October 6.

Axar.az reports that Telle stated on his X account that the execution is scheduled to take place at Fort Hood, Texas, on December 3, 2026, at 1 p.m. local time.

The memorandum states that Hasan will be executed by firing squad in accordance with US Army regulations. The Commandant of the United States Disciplinary Barracks will serve as the execution officer.

It is worth noting that U.S. President Donald Trump has approved the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, who was convicted of carrying out the 2009 attack at Fort Hood military base.

Former Army Major and psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009, killing 13 people and injuring 32 others. He shouted “Allahu Akbar” while carrying out the shooting.
