Police station comes under armed attack in Iran

A police station in Golshan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran, has come under an armed attack.

Axar.az reports, citing IRIB, that the police said one of the attackers was killed and the area remains under the control of security and police forces.

“Following an explosion on the route taken by two police teams and subsequent gunfire by armed attackers, decisive action resulted in one of them being killed and several others wounded,” the report said.

“Necessary measures are continuing to identify and take action against other individuals involved in this terrorist act,” it said.
