Putin: Russia ready to supply oil to US, global markets

Russia is ready to supply oil and petroleum products to the United States and global markets.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that Russian President Vladimir Putin said this following a phone call with his US counterpart Donald Trump.

According to Putin, the entry of Russian oil into the US market would have a positive impact on the global economy.

The Russian leader added that the prospects for resolving the Ukraine crisis were a major focus of his phone conversation with Trump.

It should be noted that Trump earlier announced that he had reached an agreement with his Russian counterpart on diesel fuel supplies. Following this, the US Treasury Department announced that sanctions related to Russian diesel exports had been lifted until April 7 next year.
