Tereshkova may meet with Queen Elizabeth II

The first woman in space, Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, may meet with Queen Elizabeth II in March, Russian State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin told a parliamentary session on Wednesday.

Axar.az reports that, he said the lower house had received "a request from the director of the Science Museum, London, Ian Blatchford, with an initiative to hold an exhibition on March 13-16 devoted to the first woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova". The Russian and UK governments have declared 2017 the UK-Russia Year of Science and Education.
