A convoy carrying servicemen has been ambushed in Mali.
Axar.az reports that the incident took place in the southern province of Segu.
According to the report, several cars were hit by a mine, and then the caravan was fired at with large-caliber weapons.
Despite air support, the military suffered heavy casualties. Of the 14 cars in the caravan, only 4 were able to return to base. 44 servicemen are missing.
