Taliban killed 291 security personnel in the past week

Taliban have killed at least 291 Afghan security personnel over the past week.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that spokesman of the Afghan National Security Council, in a Tweet, said that the Taliban carried out 422 attacks in 32 provinces during the past week, killing 291 security force personnel and wounding 550 others.

He said this shows that the Taliban's commitment to reduce violence is meaningless, and their actions are inconsistent with their rhetoric on peace.

Meanwhile, Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has rejected the latest government figures.

He said the enemy aims to hurt the peace process and intra-Afghan talks by releasing such false reports.
