Billionaire Ruben Vardanyan, who was sent to Karabakh and was the "minister of state" for only 112 days, admitted that he intends to join the political processes in Armenia.
Axar.az reports that Ruben Vardanyan alluded to this in an interview with the "Hraparak" publication.
He said that "state institutions equipped with professional, great people" will help to realize our goals:
"In this plan, the upcoming Yerevan City Council election will be of great importance. Be sure that there will be concrete answers and decisions when the time comes."
Reminding the Yerevan City Council that the elections will be held is a sign that Vardanyan is preparing to become a serious competitor to Nikol Pashinyan's rule in Armenia. The Yerevan mayor election is considered a very important political process in all of Armenia. Vardanyan plans to become the mayor of Yerevan first, and then take power.
