Ukraine's rapid accession to NATO will convince Russian President Vladimir Putin that he has lost his aim in the war.

Axar.az reports that former US ambassador to NATO, Kurt Volker, said this.

"I'm sure that NATO policy is today unintentionally sending a signal to Putin to continue military operations. Because we say that Ukraine will be a member in the long term, but we cannot include it in NATO while this war is going on. This is an incentive for Putin to continue the war. I think it is time to send a message that Ukraine will become a member of NATO as soon as possible. Then it will be pointless for Putin to continue this war, and destructive for Russia," said Volker.
