Historic agreement on artificial intelligence in the EU

For the first time in the world, the European Union has agreed on a comprehensive legal package on artificial intelligence.

Axar.az reports that after 36 hours of negotiations, the EU member states agreed on several issues, including facial recognition and the use of this technology in the judicial system.

EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton said that the historic agreement was reached:

"Europe will be the first continent to set clear rules for the use of artificial intelligence".
