Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called an emergency meeting last night regarding the threat of a coup in Turkiye. Erdogan held a meeting with the country's Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunj and the head of the National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin at the presidential residence.

Axar.az reports that Erdogan spoke at the JDP group meeting in the GNAT today regarding the mentioned issue.

The Turkish leader said that despite those who try to harm us, we continue on our way.

"We have always acted with common sense and will continue to strengthen it.

We do not allow bureaucratic illegality. We have been following every recent incident down to the smallest details. We prosecute anyone who violates the law. There is no excuse for not fulfilling one's duty to one's country and nation. For us, every second is the trust of our nation. We are here, the reason is here, and I hope it will be here tomorrow."
