According to information, as a result of the flood, 7 people died and a large number of people were injured. 12 people are missing. Two of the dead drowned because they couldn't get out of their car, and a mother and her four children died as a result of the collapse of the house.

The local population blamed the municipality for the loss of life in Seyyidi, the city's most flooded area. They said that the region was flooded because the municipal administration filled the stream, which serves as a natural channel in the area, to sell it.
