Georgia's adoption of the "Law on Foreign Agents" makes the idea of suspending the visa-free regime with the EU unacceptable.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Secretary-General of the Georgian Dream Party and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

"This rhetoric is categorically unacceptable. Why should our country's visa-free regime be suspended? Because the parliament, chosen by the absolute majority of the country, adopts necessary and important laws for the country? Statements we hear from our Western partners are absolutely unacceptable. Georgia is ready for friendship, cooperation, and partnership, and it has proven itself as a reliable partner with its effective steps," Kaladze said.

It is worth noting that the "Financial Times" publication wrote that several EU countries, including insisting on the suspension of the visa-free regime with Tbilisi, are seeing restrictive measures against Georgia."
