The death sentence of the Iranian rapper was canceled

The Supreme Court of Iran overturned the death sentence of imprisoned Iranian rapper Tumaj Salehi.

Axar.az reports that T. Salehi's lawyer Amir Raisian wrote about this on his X account.

"Tumac Salehi's death sentence was cancelled. The Supreme Court has given an order to review the case," Salehi's lawyer said.

It should be noted that Salehi was arrested in October for supporting nationwide protests related to the killing of Mahsa Amin by the morality police in September 2022.
