Russia does not have the strength to advance further into the Sumy region. Early October will be critical for the invaders.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Vladislav Seleznyov, a former official of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.

"The Russians can puff up their cheeks as much as they want. But do they have the resources and capabilities to implement their plans? Not for advancing deep into the Sumy region. It is no coincidence that Putin signed another decree to increase the maximum number of his army," Seleznyov said.

He added that next year, the enemy will most likely prioritize mobilizing manpower for the implementation of certain plans and measures:

"We have certain resources here, especially cluster munitions. It is unlikely that the enemy will have enough resources to seriously threaten Sumy and Chernihiv regions in the near future. As we can see, despite some efforts, the Russians are not achieving very good results in the Kharkiv region. The enemy is gradually losing its reserves."
