Japarov set to visit New York for UN Assembly

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will make a working visit to New York, US, on September 21-24 to participate in the events of the High-Level Week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Axar.az reports that the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Muratbek Azymbakiev announced this in a statement.

“The head of state will take part in the Future Summit on September 22, within the framework of which the final document "Pact of the Future" will be adopted,” Azymbakiev said.

Azymbakiev noted that Japarov will address the UN General Assembly on the first day of its general debates.

The Kyrgyz President is also expected to hold several bilateral meetings, including one with UN Secretary-General António Guterres during his visit.
