Israel has been planning operations to detonate pagers in Lebanon for 15 years.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by ABC News, citing sources.

It was stated that Israel has created several companies allegedly involved in the production of these devices. Moreover, some employees of these firms did not even know who they were actually working for.

Sources also indicated that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) considers such operations extremely dangerous for civilians, which is why it refrains from using such tactics.

It should be noted that the New York Times also reported that Israel has been preparing a complex operation to detonate pagers in Lebanon for a long time, and has created a company for the production of communication devices containing explosives.

It is worth mentioning that in Lebanon, explosions of pagers on September 17 and mobile phones and laptops on September 18 resulted in a total of 32 deaths and more than 4,500 injuries.
