The paradoxically, the achievement of peace in Ukraine depends on the amount of weapons provided to Kyiv.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in his farewell speech as he steps down from his position.
Stoltenberg emphasized that peace negotiations should be conducted with Russia's participation and expressed confidence that Ukraine will join the alliance:
“Military strength is a necessary condition for dialogue. No matter how difficult it is, we must talk to our neighbors. However, dialogue only works when supported by strong defense. This is clearly evident in Ukraine’s case. By providing more weapons to Ukraine, we can show Putin that he cannot forcibly achieve what he wants. He will have to accept Ukraine's sovereign democratic right to exist as a sovereign country.”
