8 dead in cooking oil factory in Indonesia

Eight people lost their lives in a significant fire at a cooking oil factory near Jakarta, Indonesia, as reported by local fire authorities on Friday.

Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, approximately 20 firefighting trucks were deployed to the scene and have managed to contain the blaze in most parts of the factory.

Suhartono, the head of Bekasi's fire department, told that three additional individuals sustained injuries.

He also warned that the number of casualties could increase. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
