The Iranian Navy has deployed its 100th flotilla to the Gulf of Aden to enhance the security of maritime trade in the region.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Rear Admiral Arya Shafqat Rudsari, the commander of the Imam Khomeini Naval University in Nowshahr.

He stated that this step was a response to the presence of maritime pirates in the region and aimed to ensure the security of sea routes for both exports and imports.

He further mentioned that while the government, as a coastal country with access to the open sea, has taken measures to utilize available resources in this area, the efforts are insufficient, and more steps need to be taken to improve the situation.
