Putin visits Minsk for Union State meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the capital of Belarus, Minsk, for a meeting of the Union State’s Supreme State Council.

Axar.az informs that this information has been reported by Russian media.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will chair the meeting.

It has been noted that a separate meeting between the two heads of state is also planned. The discussion will focus on strengthening the common defense space between Russia and Belarus.

The meeting will take place ahead of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Union State creation agreement. The participants will review the implementation of the provisions of the Agreement on the Creation of the Union State for 2024-2026 and the progress of the Security Concept that has been prepared.
