Israeli and Egyptian intelligence chiefs have agreed to allow the Palestinian Authority (PA) to manage the Gazan side of the Rafah Border Crossing with Egypt, under international supervision by the UN.

Axar.az, citing Times of Israel, reports that the meeting, held Monday and Tuesday in Cairo, involved Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, Mossad chief David Barnea, and Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad.

While the agreement was reached on the PA's role at the crossing, no reopening date has been set. Discussions on the Philadelphi Corridor remain unresolved, with Israel proposing partial withdrawals, which Egypt rejected, insisting on a full return to pre-war conditions.
