Axar.az reports that according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during the telephone conversation, the prospects of the cooperation agenda between the two countries, as well as the current regional situation, the current status of the normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, were discussed.

The British Minister first expressed his condolences over January 20 - National Day of Mourning and the tragic crash of Azerbaijan's plane on the Baku-Grozny flight on December 25. He expressed Britain's readiness to provide support in the investigation and investigation of the causes of the tragedy.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked for the condolences and solidarity shown, and provided information on the work done to investigate the causes of the plane crash.

It was noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom have broad prospects in political, economic, alternative energy, humanitarian and other areas, and the importance of intensifying mutual visits and political dialogue in the development of relations, as well as further deepening partnership relations between the two countries was noted.

Congratulating Azerbaijan on its successful hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the British Secretary of State for Foreign emphasized the importance of continuing joint cooperation in tackling climate change.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, providing information on the current situation in the region and the peace process, noted that despite significant progress on the peace agreement and delimitation, the ongoing territorial claims in the Armenian constitution are the main obstacle to the process.

During the telephone conversation, views were also exchanged on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
