On January 22, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the head of the Christian Leaders Congress of the United States, at the latter’s request in Davos.

Axar.az reports that during the conversation, it was emphasized with satisfaction that religious freedoms are ensured in Azerbaijan, and representatives of various nations and religions have historically lived in peace, tranquility, and harmony in the country.

The meeting exchanged views on the positive prospects of Azerbaijan-US relations in the Trump era.

The head of state said that during the Biden-Blinken administration, the US showed a biased attitude towards Azerbaijan, and as a result, our bilateral relations were plunged into a crisis. President Ilham Aliyev assessed the reinstatement of Amendment 907 as a manifestation of the Biden-Blinken administration's ingratitude.

During the conversation, the issue of future relations between Azerbaijan and the Trump administration was discussed.
