“Naxış” atelier has held “Novruz naxışı” fashion show at Port Baku Mall. The number of guests attending the show was higher than the organizers expected. The show featured a 2016 spring-summer collection. Guests were welcomed by women wearing dresses made by the atelier.

Speaking to journalists prior to the start of the show, director and designer of “Naxış” atelier Semra Akhundova said the collection includes 30 dresses. She said the main aim of the atelier is to showcase national ornaments, patterns, and values through fashion. Patterns, which are popular in 2016, are featured in hand-made collection. “The collection includes evening dresses with national ornaments. Our primary idea was to reflect Novruz freshness and colors of the nature in our dresses. Our collection highlights peculiarities of national dresses from all regions of Azerbaijan. All clothes are hand-made by professional masters of our atelier,” she said.

Semra Akhundova said: “We have worked on this collection for approximately a year. As the dresses are hand-made the making of one dress takes three or four months.” “We plan to reach Europe in the years ahead. We want to promote Azerbaijan`s own fashion line abroad,” she added.

The atelier uses the elements accenting originality and individuality of women. Every dress here is made in a single sample, and is remarkable for unique design and harmony of colors, which attracts women. Material for clothes is brought from Paris and Milan, with all patterns made by hands. The quality of material, patterns accenting originality, subtle forms can make every woman a focus of attention.
