Azerbaijan to join int’l Festival of Ballet Art

The leading soloists of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Gulagasi Mirzoyev and Nigar Ibrahimova will participate in the Fourth International Festival of Ballet Art in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

The festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of great Kyrgyz dancer Bibisara Beishenalieva is scheduled for May 15-21.

Azerbaijan’s national ballet troupe will present scenes from the ballet "Seven Beauties" by prominent Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev as well as romantic ballet "Giselle" by French composer and music critic Adolphe Adam .

The participants of the festival will be the stars of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The program of the cultural event includes masterpieces of world ballet classics, the best and favorite works of foreign and Russian choreography. The grand gala concert of the festival will be held on May 21.
