SOCAR establishes joint enterprise with Uniper

On May 25, SOCAR and German Uniper have signed an agreement on establishment of SOCAR-Uniper LLC to produce energy and steam.

Local media reports SOCAR has 51%, Uniper 49% share in the LLC.

Moreover, an initial project agreement has been signed on construction of Steam Turbo-Generator machine.

The machine aims to increase energy effectiveness of Steam Generator Complex of Azerkimya PU’s Ethylene-Polyethylene plant and produce additional energy.

The agreements were signed by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Uniper President Klaus Schäfer.
