158 people infected with 'swine flu' in Georgia

158 cases of infection with H1N1 ('swine flu') virus have been confirmed laboratorally in Georgia.

Axar.az reports according to the head of the National Center on Control over Diseases and Public Health Amiran Gamkrelidze, the indicator of virus spread has dropped: "By the last information, there are 256 infected in every 100,000 residents. Last week the indicator was 277 people."

Quarantine has been announced in Rustavi hospital last week and the Medical center of Mtsheta today due to the wide incidence of flu in the country.

Notably, 8 people have died from 'swine flu' in Georgia.
