Iranian Council member died from coronavirus

Earlier, several Iranian officials fell ill with coronavirus as Iran has become the epicenter of the outbreak in the Middle East.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that Seyed Mohammad Mir-Mohammadi, a member of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, died of the Wuhan coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, on Monday.

His death comes as other top Iranian officials have contracted the virus; the country has the highest death toll in the world after China.

Seyed Mohammad Mir-Mohammadi was 71.
