French lawmaker suffers from coronavirus

Jean-Luc Reitzer, a conservative member of France’s National Assembly, has been hospitalized after contracting coronavirus, his office confirmed Friday.

Axar.az reports that Reitzer, from Les Républicains, is a lawmaker for the Alsace region. He was hospitalized in Mulhouse, 100 kilometers south of Strasbourg, and is now in a "stable condition," his office told POLITICO.

The National Assembly announced Thursday that a lawmaker had been infected with the virus and was in intensive care, without naming him. An employee working at the institution's snack bar, who also tested positive for coronavirus, has been quarantined at home and another employee, who worked in the assembly’s restaurant, is in the hospital with a suspected case of the virus.
