Recent reports of a decline in new infections in China do not mean the end of the coronavirus.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the World Health Organization's (WHO) Director for the Western Pacific, Takeshi Kasai.

He said that the preventive measures taken give the world little time in the fight against the pandemic:

"Although all preventive measures have been taken during the spread of the coronavirus, there is still a risk of a pandemic in the region. The virus may reappear."
