Was COVID-19 prepared in a lab? - The US investigates

Allegations that a new type of coronavirus has been developed in the laboratory are not convincing.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Chief of Staff Mark Milley.

"There are many assumptions in the media about this. Intelligence agencies have seriously investigated the allegations. At this stage, these allegations are not convincing. There is ample evidence that the pandemic is spreading naturally. But we still can't be sure," Milley said.

The US media has claimed that the coronavirus was spread from a laboratory that studies harmful viruses in bats in Wuhan. According to the claim, the US State Department received information from intelligence agencies two years ago that the laboratory in Wuhan did not take the necessary measures and that the virus spreading from there would cause a pandemic.
