According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there will be an increase in new cases of coronavirus infection in the near future.

Axar.az reports that, the warning was issued by Michael Ryan, Executive Director of the WHO Emergency Program, at a briefing in Geneva.

He noted that the increase in the number of infections can be attributed to the second wave, the second peak, re-inflammation or other names, and as soon as the pressure on the virus decreases, it begins to spread rapidly again.

Ryan said that while people expect other explanations in the fight against the virus, this is now the reality and it has become very difficult to stop the virus. According to the WHO expert, the task at this stage should be to prevent the increase of infection through tests, social identification of infected people and local measures. This will prevent the introduction of nationwide quarantines in the spring of this year. At the same time, it was noted that public places create fertile ground for the spread of the virus, and such gatherings should be avoided.
