WHO has sent 1 million masks to Azerbaijan

1 million masks sent to Azerbaijan from the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters were handed over to the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TABIB) today.

Axar.az reports that WHO Representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci said that medical masks will also be presented to the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.

"These should be considered as free gifts from the WHO," said a spokesman for the international organization.

Firangiz Aliyeva, head of the medical services department of the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (MEDIA), said that the uninterrupted supply of personal protective equipment during the pandemic is very important:

"For this reason, we appreciate the World Health Organization's (WHO) provision of free medical masks to the Association of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB). We wish them success in their future endeavours."
