We are working with Pfizer to increase the production of the coronavirus vaccine, and there may be gaps in supplies until other vaccines arrive.

Axar.az reports this statement was made by Turkish scientist Ugur Shahin, who developed the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine.

In an interview with the German publication Spiegel, Shahin said that work is underway to increase the production of vaccines, but the approval of new vaccines may take time:

"There may be gaps until other vaccines are approved. Currently, the situation is not good. There is a gap in the market because there are few approved vaccines, and we are trying to fill it with our vaccines."
