Sputnik V vaccine should not be given to these patients

People suffering from cardiovascular diseases, bronchial asthma, hepatitis C, and oncology patients in remission can be vaccinated against coronavirus with Sputnik V.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Alexander Ginsburg, director of the Gamaley Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology.

He said that if these diseases are acute, vaccination is contraindicated.

"Pathological cardiologists should be vaccinated first. Because if they are infected, they and diabetics are in the first risk group. You don't need to go to a cardiologist, you need to be vaccinated immediately,” Ginsburg said.

He noted that there is no reason to exclude patients with bronchial asthma and hepatitis C from the vaccine.

Ginsburg said that patients in remission who do not receive chemotherapy can also be vaccinated. We will not be able to produce antibodies."
