The World Health Organization (WHO) is interested in a new strain of coronavirus.

Axar.az reports these views were expressed in a report published by New Scientist, citing the organization.

According to the report, the WHO has included the "Mu" strain of the coronavirus in the list of COVID-19 mutations of interest.

A new strain of the coronavirus, Mu, or B.1.621, was first discovered in January 2021 in Colombia. Cases of this strain have been reported not only in South America but also in Europe.
