The first case of Omicron strain was detected in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the joint information of the Ministry of Health, State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and TABIB.

In the next stage of the conducted researches, SARS-CoV-2 21K Omicron variant was found in 12 samples taken from foreigners.
