A cancer vaccine will be ready by the end of this decade.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Oxford University researcher Jonathan Kwok.

"There is now a competition involving at least 10 companies and academic departments with different approaches and strategies. The merits of each of these approaches are being considered," the scientist said.

According to him, there will be an affordable cancer vaccine by the end of this decade.

Stating that 70-90 percent of cancer deaths occur due to metastases, the scientist noted that the vaccine will help to prevent the occurrence of metastases as a result of the continuous reaction of the immune system.
