Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani on his country’s national holiday.

On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you and the people of your country on the occasion of the national holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran - Victory of the Islamic Revolution.

I am confident that based on mutual confidence and support, our intergovernmental relations will further grow and expand on bilateral, regional and international levels in accordance with the will of our nations who have historically lived in an atmosphere of friendship and good neighborliness.
