Armenia violates ceasefire with Azerbaijan

Armenian armed units violated ceasefire using 60mm mortars with Azerbaijan 112 times on various parts of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenia troops over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry informed on May 2.

Armenian armed units stationed in the village Berkaber of Armenia’s Ijevan district, Voskevan, Shavarshavan villages of Noyemberyan district fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces in Gizilhajili, Gushchu Ayrim and Farahli villages of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district.

Moreover, Azerbaijani positions located on nameless uplands of Gadabay district came under fire from Armenian positions located on nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.

Another ceasefire violation came from the positions located in Chilaburt,Yarimcha, Goyarkh villages of Terter district, Shikhlar, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Shuraabad, Garagashli, Marzili, Yusifjanli villages of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashaghi Veysalli, Ashaghi Seyidahmadli of Fizulu district, Mehdili of Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless uplands in Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavend, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts.


In consideration of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 114 strikes on enemy positions.
