President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences to the US President Barack Obama.

The text of the letter of condolence says:

"Dear Mr. President,

News on brutal terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida, its casualties and injured people extremely shocked me.
Today, the whole world is facing such a terrible misfortune as terrorism. Such a situation requires mobilization of all forces and joint fight against terrorism. As a country suffering from terrorism Azerbaijan has always condemned terrorism and supports the fight against terrorism.

I share your grief in these hard times and express deep condolences to you and families and relatives of all victims on behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own behalf and I wish those injured to recover soon."
