Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has dismissed Ambassador to Belgium Alberto Anton from his post for falling asleep during a speech at the annual diplomatic conference in Madrid.

Axar.az informs that the Spanish publication "Igeteo.MX" reported this.

According to the publication, the falling asleep ambassador was caught on camera by cameramen filming the event.

Later, images of Alberto Anton yawning and sleeping were shared on social networks.

The information also notes that in Spain, José Manuel Albares is unofficially known by the nickname "Little Napoleon" because he is distinguished by his strict and principled approach to his work.
