Georgian government 2026 transport infrastructure plans

The Georgian government intends to fully complete the construction of roads connecting Azerbaijan and Armenia with Turkiye as part of the Middle Corridor project by 2026.

Axar.az reports, citing Georgia Online.

According to the plans outlined in the government’s 2026 budget, the Rustavi–Red Bridge and Algeti–Sadakhli sections leading to the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be fully completed, and the Batumi–Sarpi road leading to the Turkish border will be constructed.

It should be noted that construction of the Zangezur Corridor (“Trump Road”) is also expected to begin this year.
