Iranian President orders start of nuclear talks with US

Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has ordered the launch of nuclear negotiations with the United States, a well-informed Iranian government source told Fars News Agency.

Axar.az reports that the talks will be strictly limited to the nuclear issue. Iran and the US have previously held five rounds of indirect negotiations, which were suspended last June after a US-linked military attack on Iran ahead of the sixth round.

Tehran has repeatedly stressed that any talks must remain within the nuclear framework and be conducted without threats.
