Russia is ready for a new world with no nuclear limits

Russia is prepared for a world without nuclear arms control limits if the New START treaty expires on February 5 without a last-minute agreement with the United States.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

He noted that Washington has not responded to Moscow’s proposals to extend the treaty’s limits and said this silence itself was a response.

Ryabkov added that Russia supports China’s stance on arms control, criticized U.S. proposals to Iran as ultimatum-like, and warned that Russia would take military countermeasures if the United States deploys extensive missile defense systems in Greenland.
