Bayramov calls Iran strikes on Nakhchivan unacceptable

Yesterday, drone attacks were carried out on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, leaving four people injured.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this during a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popsoi.

The minister emphasized that the incident is unacceptable:

“The Azerbaijani government’s position was conveyed yesterday. The Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and our expectations were clearly communicated to him. President Ilham Aliyev’s messages at yesterday’s Security Council meeting were heard by all. The Iranian side has promised to investigate the matter, and we expect the results of this investigation soon.”
