We hope that the measures implemented by Azerbaijan will bring peace and progress to the region.
Axar.az reports that Aykhan Hajizadeh, head of the press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said this in an interview with "The Insider" publication.
He said that after the 44-day war, during the last 3 years, Armenia has been prone to military-political provocations, including some confusing and inconsistent statements about the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan:
"We hope that after this, a foundation will be created for a better future for Azerbaijan and Armenia, and progress will be ensured in the peace process between the two countries. The lack of military escalation on the part of Armenia in the last two days is a positive sign. We hope that Armenia will refrain from making statements and taking steps against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and will recognize Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan in word and deed."
