Within the framework of the 78th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, the meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov has begun.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said this on her Telegram channel.

The diplomat noted that the negotiations began with Baku's official apology for the death of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.
