The decision to abolish the "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" is a positive step in terms of the cessation of hostilities.
Axar.az reports that this was said by Viktor Vodolatsky, the first deputy chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian State Duma.
"Considering that Armenia and its leader Nikol Pashinyan everywhere recognized Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan, now the process of liquidation of the long-standing "republic" is underway, and the Armenians who left there will most likely live in Armenia, including Russia. The Azerbaijani side will create conditions for the normal life of the people who will stay in this area because it is already its territory with all its structures. Of course, our peacekeeping contingent located there will most likely be insignificant, but it will be decided by the heads of the states of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia because this decision was made by three of them," said the deputy.
