A meeting of the Presidium of the "Azerbaijan Banks Association" (ABA) Public Union was held with a wide composition.

Axar.az reports that ABA has released information about this.

At the meeting, the following decisions were made regarding the martyred and wounded soldiers of our military for the purpose of neutralizing the terrorists illegally located in Karabakh and restoring the country's sovereignty within the framework of local anti-terrorist measures:

- All types of loan obligations of our martyred soldiers in banks, interest and other payments calculated for them should be deleted in full;

- The interest and other payments calculated for the loan obligations of our wounded servicemen to the banks during the period from September 19, 2023, to December 31, 2023, should be deleted from the accounts of the banks.

"Azerbaijani banking community will always be guided by the instructions of the country's president and continue to show sensitivity towards the families of martyrs and our veterans, as well as our soldiers who participated in the liberation of our homeland from the enemy," the Association stated.

ABA-nl established commercial banks in 1990. The main goal is to represent member organizations, support their needs for various types of business services and coordinate their activities. Currently, 24 banks and 6 non-banking organizations are members of ABA.
